What we Believe

Our Convictions

The Bible is the absolutely true and final authority for faith and practice.

God is our Creator, and He exists eternally as one God in three character personalities as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ was born of a virgin and is both God and Man. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins and then rose again bodily from the dead and is alive today.

The Holy Spirit glorifies Jesus Christ and convicts unbelievers of their need to accept Jesus Christ as personal Savior, lives in believers to guide, to instruct, and to empower them for Godly living.

We were created in the image of God but chose to disobey Him. In spite of disobeying Him, God loves us and sent Jesus Christ to be our Savior.

Only on the basis of Christ's and the bodily resurrection by God's grace through faith in Christ does a person come into a right relationship with God.

Jesus Christ is the head of the Church, and the Church is God's primary way to accomplish His purposes on earth today. It is composed of all believers in Christ Jesus. The ordinances of the Church are water baptism and the Lord's Supper. They are, however, not regarded as a means of salvation. Only members of the true church are eligible for membership in the local church. Every church under Christ has the right to decide and govern its own affairs.

Angels were created to be messengers of God. They are not to be worshiped. Jesus Christ provides the believer victory over Satan and his agents who are destined to eternal punishment.

Christ's return is personal and imminent. The personal and imminent (any time) return of Christ the "blessed hope" has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.

The bodily resurrection of the dead will include believers to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, and unbelievers to judgement and to everlasting conscious punishment.
